District 203
District 203 encompasses about 32 square miles of land 28 miles west of Chicago. Its boundaries take in much of the City of Naperville, parts of the Village of Lisle, and single subdivisions in the communities of Bolingbrook, Warrenville, and Woodridge.
Recognized nationally, and beyond, as a world class educational system, District 203 eighth graders ranked first in the world in science and sixth in math among the 38 nations and consortiums that participated in the 1999 Third International Math and Science Study (TIMSS). For the past 12 years, District 203 has been listed among the nation's top 14% of public schools to be recognized by SchoolMatch with the "What Parents Want" award. The Center for Leadership in School Reform has selected District 203 as a "Standard-Bearer District." The Illinois Tax Foundation has credited the school district with providing top quality education and the most efficient use of tax dollars. District 203 was also bestowed with a Lincoln Award for Commitment to Excellence by the Lincoln Foundation for Business Excellence.
In District 203, over 19,000 students are educated in the 21 facilities, including 14 elementary schools, 5 middle schools, and 2 high schools. The graduation rate is one of the highest in the state, at 96.6%, with 98% of those graduates planning to continue education in a two or four year college.
Indian Prairie School District 204:
Encompasses 46 square miles in western DuPage and northern Will counties and includes portions of Naperville, Aurora, Bolingbrook, and Plainfield. There are about 28,200+ students enrolled in K-12 with 1,950 teachers and 31 schools. District 204 has 1 pre-school, 21 elementary schools, 6 middle schools, 2 high schools and 1 alternative high school.
Student Achievement is a high priority for the district. Students routinely score significantly higher than state averages on standardized tests. A recent survey of parents indicates that they are very satisfied with the district's educational programs, district resources, student environment and communications practices.
